I attended the Art Students League in NYC around 1973 then spent a year at Manhattanvile College in Harrison NY. Transferred to the University of Hartford/Hartford Art School and graduated in 1977, receiving the Mary Batterson Beach Award for outstanding student performance from Rudolph Zallinger. After graduation I worked as freelance studio artist, got married and with moderate success (at both), had shows in CT, NYC, NJ and various Art League shows.

When our first son was born. I took a job with Rand McNally, in Ossining, NY, August 1981 learning a craft: painting Geophysical Globes (6 foot earth globes) . In 1982 transferred to Richmond, KY with Rand McNally as a Geophysical Artist, at the Richmond Distribution Center, after 36 years I retired as Manager of Distribution Services.
